Hello!  I am the State Member for Bright, and I would like to thank you for taking the time to look at this site.  I live in the heart of my electorate, in Brighton, and have done so for six years. 

This website has been established as another means of communicating with my constituents, as well as informing them of news, issues, events and other items of interest immediately.  It also allows my constituents to contact me at any time to discuss issues of concern to them.

As your state member of parliament, I am available to advise and assist you on any matter in which I can help, especially those regarding state government responsibilities.

National Disability Insurance Scheme

As I mentioned last year in my newslette, the SA Government was the first state to sign up to the National Disability Insurane Scheme (NDIS). In April, we reached an agreement with the Federal Government to fully implement the NDIS in SA. This agreement will benefit more than 33,00 South Australians with a disability by mid 2018.

The South Australian Government has already trebled the the amount of funding fo disability servies to $345 million. This funding will increase to $723 million by 2018. The Federal Government's contribution to the scheme will take the full value of the scheme to $1.4 billion.
